New England Eye Center Expands 1st Responder Vision Program
LASIK Specialists Offer Police, Fire and EMS Personnel Better Vision
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Boston, MA. (February 19, 2010) – New England Eye Center is delighted to announce the expansion of our 1st Responder Program throughout New England. A successful program, now in place for 5 years has helped hundreds of Police Officers, Firefighters, and Emergency Service Personnel achieve a better vision through LASIK.
In the line of duty, it is important to be free of visual impairment and distractions, to have a clear vision, and to not be concerned with losing a contact lens or pair of glasses. Reducing or eliminating the need for glasses or contacts enables police, fire, and emergency medical technicians to more effectively protect and serve our communities.
“We are pleased to continue this program and expand its reach throughout all of New England”.We have received positive feedback and results from many of our first responders who have gone through our program” said William R Sacco, Director of Public Relations for the New England Eye Center.”As a leading eye care institution in Boston, we take great pride in helping our local community and especially those that are charged with protecting and serving us on a daily basis”
The 1st Responder Program was developed by the New England Eye Center to assist folks on the front line in the community to be better able to perform their jobs. The program offers substantial discounts on laser vision correction for all police, fire and emergency personnel as well as their departments support staff.
